China censors the American singer Lady Gaga on its territory. The Chinese government would in effect prohibits online music sites to distribute a hundred songs, some tubes of the singer. The initiative for this action rests with the Department of Culture, who decided to put "order" in the music industry on the Internet by prohibiting those "that harm the security of the state culture." Since 2010, the Chinese authorities to impose censorship on all internationnal stars, wanting to perform in China, provide a list of music performed in order to gain permission.
This censorship is justified as a method of fight against piracy.
