It is a tragedy that could have hit the U.S. on Monday. Michelle Obama, the first lady of the country narrowly escaped a crash by leWashington Post. When his vehicle was about to land on the runway of the military base at Andrews, the pilot had at the last moment regain altitude. All because of a civilian air traffic controller who - wrongly - cleared the landing.
The Boeing 737 carrying the wife of Barack Obama was too close to a military plane taking off. The control tower at Andrews has made it just in time. More fear than harm. A small airport tower and Michelle Obama could set foot on land.
