The punk icon has died

Marianne Elliot-Said was born in July 1957, the legendary singer Poly Styrene, leader of punk band X-Ray Spex, died Tuesday from cancer of the spinal cord and chest. A sad news for the music that the loss of the author of the classic title Oh Bondage Up Yours! In March 2011, Poly Styrene had just released Indigo Generation, produced by Martin Glover Sonic Youth, an album that sounds like the musical legacy of a punk legend.
