A private collector has made public the only image of Elizabeth Taylor, who was then 24 years, posing nude. The image was a gift from Liz Taylor to the producer Michael Todd, which was to be her third husband, because of their commitment. The photo was taken by one of his best friends, actor and photographer Roddy McDowall.
He convinced her to pose naked with the promise that it would be a nude 'happy', ie refined. Then Liz gave it to Todd as a gift after he proposed marriage in 1956. The couple married a few months later, but the relationship was sadly short. Todd died 13 months later, when his private plane crashed during a storm in New Mexico.
