The retired bullfighter Jose Ortega Cano remains stable within the gravity and mechanical ventilation, according to the latest medical bulletin issued shortly after eleven o'clock by the Hospital Virgen Macarena in Seville, where after the accident he suffered Saturday. In the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital yesterday after undergoing surgery twice, Ortega Cano "is seroanalgesiado with mechanical ventilation status and hemodynamically stable within the seriousness," according to the medical team on call.
The bull exmatador underwent six hours by a team of general surgeons, cardiovascular and orthopedic surgeons who managed to solve a colon bleeding point and fix the multiple fracture of the femur in this patient. Ortega Cano entered the early hours of Saturday to Sunday in the Seville hospital after suffering a serious accident on the A-8002 on its way through Castilblanco de los Arroyos (Sevilla), where his car collided with another vehicle whose driver, 48, died instantly.
