Angelina Jolie, awarded the 'Heart of honor' in Sarajevo

The Bosnian daily "Nezavisne" reported that in the closing ceremony of the contest will be given to Angelina Jolie's "Heart of Honor" Sarajevo. The celebrity couple will leave the Bosnian capital this evening. Jolie last year shot his first film as director, a love story set in Bosnia during the war of the 1990s.

He explained then Jolie, who is also the author of the screenplay, is the love story of a couple who knew before the war (1992-1995), and the difficulties that conflict causes to their relationship, and that the film not have a political character. Several scenes of his film were shot in the Balkan country.


Jolie has also visited Bosnia several times as a goodwill ambassador for the UN High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR). The Sarajevo Film Festival began in 1995 during the Bosnian war, when Sarajevo was besieged by Serb forces. It is one of the largest and most visited cultural events in Bosnia.
