In an official letter addressed to his former institution, Dominique Strauss-Kahn has presented his resignation to the board of the IMF: "It is with great sadness that I feel compelled today to propose to my board resignation from my position as director of the IMF. I think first time as my wife - whom I love more than anything - to my children, my family, my friends.
I also think the staff which FMIavec we have done such great things for over three years. To all, I mean that I reject with the utmost firmness all I complained. I want to preserve this institution that I served with honor and dedication, and especially, especially, I want to devote all my strength, all my time and my energy to prove my innocence.
