How could it be otherwise, the Laureus Award for Best Male Athlete of the Year went to the Spaniard, Rafa Nadal.
Elnúmero one of the world, won his second Laureus as in the 2006 edition won the award for Most Promising, and this time at senior level was imposed after a 2010 flawless, with wins in three 'Grand Slam': Roland Garros , Wimbledon and U.S. Open. Another prize that has national flavor is from the Spanish football team, world champion, who received the Laureus Award for Best International Team of the Year.
On the red carpet guests we also saw the likes of Elsa Pataky, newly married and, as usual, posing without her husband, Chris Hemsworth, actors Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey, host of the show or the players Zinedine Zidane, Laureus Award Best Path to Professional, Cannavaro and Figo.
